Meteorite, melancholia, the pull of gravity through the bones, the magnetism of the bones and the dissolution of self. Bones last longer than any other part of our bodies once we have died. They contain carbon, they return to the earth and become the bedrock for the stored energy that creates a pull on the living. We can't escape this fate and at the same time there are compounds of rock hurtling through the airspace we share. We not only are resigned to gravity's pull and consummation through dying. We are also prey to an array of projectiles which can destroy us at any moment.
